The learning materials were about Philippines folklores. They were Ibong Adarna and Lam Ang folklores. It always started with literature. Then, it followed by grammar, vocabulary, and other skills which were Subject-verb Agreement (grammar), Subject Pronoun Antecedent (grammar), Word with Multiple Meanings (vocab), Idioms (vocab), Types of Reading (Reading), Writing a Paragraph, and etc. 

The learning materials were from the book. Below are some snippets of the book. However, sometimes, it’s not enough. So the teacher usually made a comprehensive slide regarding the materials to be presented when teaching. As in learning language, students here are actively involved in all the four skills. They read they speak (answering questions or giving opinions), they also write (in the Journal Questions), and of course they listen too to the teacher.
